2005 XC90 Driver Door Noise + Air Con Whistle
Hi guys - just bought a 2005 (MY06) XC90, have wanted one for a while so I'm very pleased to finally have it in the driveway.
As it's an old car I'm sure i'll be in here a bit for help! I've done a lot of googling but can't seem to find much on this one, basically there's a noticeable rattling/creaking from the driver's door whenever it hits any sort of rough/bumpy surface. I was trying to isolate it this morning and found with the window down there's no issue at all. I tried press my arm against the window with it up but still the noise.
I'm going to have a good look at it on the weekend but thought I'd ask here first to hopefully save myself some hassle and time!
The other little thing bugging me is that it has is a intermittent whistle from the air con at certain speeds, there doesn't seem to be any specific speeds it happens at just comes and goes, possibly more at slow speeds. From what I've been able to tell when I'm accelerating it goes away. If I turn off the air con completely it goes away too. Any help with this also would be brilliant. cheers.
Thanks in advance,
jd

Hi guys - just a quick update for anyone else having similar issues...
Door/Window noise - this was due to the window actually closing too much, it would push too tightly against the frame so it was kind of creaking, when I fixed the auto up function by reseting the calibration it no longer closed so high and the creaking sound was gone.
Air con whistle - I fixed this by spraying some WD40 into the air con blower unit, a surprisingly easy fix but was fiddly and awkward to get the blower open to do the spraying
