Default Electrical issues on '05 V50!

Hello! I've had my 2005 V50 T5 for a few weeks now, but just yesterday something came up with the hazard lights. While I'm driving the car, the hazards will intermittently flash on their own. The flashing is mostly sporadic like they're turning themselves on and off very quickly, but today they stayed on for about an hour straight after shutoff while I tried to figure out whether or not I wanted to pull a fuse or disconnect the battery...they ended up shutting themselves off just after I pulled down the interior fuse box.

The hazard switch was completely unresponsive even when the hazards were off; I couldn't push the switch to turn them on either. Does this sound like the switch is just finicky and needs replaced or should I check anything else out? If the switch was bad, would the hazards be turning themselves on?

Thanks a bunch for any tips! If there's anything easy enough that I can replace or diagnose myself that would be awesome too.

I don't know a lot about these cars, as I've had mine for less than two months, but there are some computer gremlins that can pop up. Maybe a dealer can re-flash the computer on the car, or see if there are any updates they can upload. The carfax on my car showed the computer was replaced about a year prior to my purchase, so it's not out of the question that yours might need the same. I thought I'd reply since nobody else had, but I really don't know a ton about these cars. Maybe a senior member will have something to add.
