hail damaged v50
I'm considering getting a hail damaged 2005 V50 2.4i at a decent enough price. Aside from the sheetmetal, one side mirror glass and one tail lamp are broken which I can easily replace. Both windshield spray nozzle are loose on the hood. Looking at the bottom side, it looks like it's missing a washer which allows the tension needed for the clip. Does anyone know what it's called and if it's vehicle specific? I'm sure I can come up with some hack fix, but if a proper washer is available I'd rather use that.
I looked through the manual and did not see any mention of transmission maintenance. I wanted to check the fluid to get an idea of the transmission health. Is this one of those "lifetime" trannys? Is it possible to do a flush at home?
The coolant bottle has green fluid in it. What color is factory coolant? I'm trying to determine if I might have problems later on because somebody mixed coolant types. Even my 99 C70 uses the G05, I have to believe this 2005 uses at least that and not the old school green stuff (though color is no indication of anything).
