Exclamation Help me Identify this hose Please 2005 V50 2.4i

Hi Guys,

Bought a 2005 V50 Recently and I love it so much. Bought this knowing that it is a good used car and runs well.
when I bought it the old owner said the heater doesn't work, Which doesn't bother me and will fix it sometime in the future.
cleaned Mass air flow sensor etc, and some basic home servicing just few days ago, I found something doesn't look right.

near the firewall between the engine bay and the cabin, I found a pair hose that seems to have snapped. and the other hose did not look connect to anywhere.

not sure if this actually a loop or not.

I was wandering if anyone here can help to identify this.
would this be a part of Air con? or it is like this by design? keen to know what this is before I bring it to the dealer.

Thank you in advance

Michael

Thank you! And I will leave it as is because it's pricey to fix
