Oil pressure light started flashing upon stopping on my 2006 V50 a few miles from home. Stalled at a stop sign on a busy street. Was able to start, and move to a side street and wait for tow. Told today by dealer I need a new engine Car was in for service recently, fluids topped, clean bill of health, driven under 100 miles after. No warning of failure except intermittent oil pressure light upon stopping. No fan, no signs of overheating, no engine light warning light came on. Wondering how car failed with no warning except oil light flashing upon stopping over 10 minute so quickly. Thanks in advance.
