Default New guy with audio question

So the front door speakers are not working. There was never a perion of bad sound (like they were blown), just stopped working. After the car is turned off, the speakers will snap, crackle & pop. There could be cereal in the door, but I think it's a wiring issue & need to get into the door panel.

My question is... before i break something, does the speaker grill come off on its own, or do I remove the entire plastic panel?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, you will need to remove the door panel.

This may be of help: Swedespeed Forums - How to remove front door panels/weatherstrips/tint...
Swedespeed Forums - Rear door remove - rear tweeter install - basic audio - US version

Sorry, I didn't mean you. There was another post that must have been deleted.

Well, it mysteriously started working again, but then stopped... again. I've also noticed a hum coming from the front speakers when the turn signal is on. I guess I'll need to get in there & take a look after all.

Apparently there is a door harness connector that was known to get wet and corrode. It would usually prevent the door lock or window form working. That connector may have the side marker turn signal (mirror) and the speaker connections.

This link has wiring diagrams. http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/volvo-wiring-diagrams/
