Default quieter tires with the same or different sizing?

My V50 came with Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 tires, 205 50 R17. Are there good performing, quieter tires with the same size and load rating? Can I get quieter or better performance going to a 215 or 225 equivalent tire? Thanks!

I am on my second set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS. With the first set I was struck with how quiet the tires were. They perform very well in every way. The only down side I have found in comparison to the Michellins is the rolling resistance seems to be a little higher which has a little impact on fuel economy. When it came time to replace the first set, I looked around but settled back to the Conti's and glad I did.
