Hi,

My Volvo 50 (55 plate - 136,000 miles) just failed its MOT as the brake pedal is to soft.

The garage (Who have been really helpful) are struggling to diagnose the issue having:
Replaced the master cyclinder
Tried New Calipers
Bled the brakes several times

They suspect the ABS unit may need to be replaced (£850.00 just for the part).

Volvo master technician stated they've never seen this before... as soon as car is turned on the pedal drops.

If anybody has some suggestions I could take to the garage it would be hugely appreciated.

I was planning to upgrade to an XC90 very soon so would be good not spend £1000+ getting through the MOT
