Thus is my first post so please bare with me and I hope I put enough detail so some of you guys can help me and others with the same issue.
I have a 2010 volvo v50 2.0d with 6 speed auto mechatronic gearbox.
the car has only covered 115k miles
The problem I am having is the car is missing 2nd 4th and 6th gears and I have the transmission performance low on my dash.
I read somewhere that it could of been a issue with the gearbox oil and filter so before I replaced the oil I took off the mechatronic unit and cleaned the whole unit with compressed air and I also tested all the solenoids with a multi meter to which i was getting around 3.9 ohms and i further tested each one with a small 9v battery and they were all clucking and the shafts were all moving.
Before i stripped the unit i was getting 2 codes which were...
​TCM-0422 shift fork 3 blocked, other shift forks didnt move. Also
TCM-0420 shift fork 1 blocked, other shift fork didnt move.
After refitting the unit and changing gearbox filter and new oil the car is still missing 2nd 4th and 6th gears but now I'm only getting 1 code which is.
