Default V50 Plastic Belly Shield/Lower Engine Cover

Hello to everyone. I am new to this forum.

I just got a 2005 V50 and the belly pan fell apart. After the dealer told me that this piece of plastic would cost $170 to install (which I thought was unconscionable), I asked them to remove it. I figured I would order it online. This is not my first Volvo, so I understand the repairs routine, but for something that seemed relatively simple, I thought I would try this route.

Can anyone confirm that thepart # is 30793870? Several places I checked are offering front air dams, etc., but I know that what they are suggestingare not the right parts. It also seems that the part is called different names -- the dealer referred to it as a "belly pan" or "engine shield," but when trying to order the part, people do not seem to know it by that name.

Also, when the dealer removed thepan, they left a t-shaped metal part in the cargo area that, I guess, secures the pan. When the part is ordered, do I also need to order new screws or anything else? I appreciate the help. Many thanks!

Thanks for checking. Thecorrect partnumber is 30793870. A local Volvo independentshop (where I have taken my other Volvo for maintenance for a few years) ordered the part and installed it free. It took less than 5 minutes.
