Exclamation Volvo V50 2.4l 5 cylinder auto fault?

Looking for some advice.
My 2007 Volvo V50 2.4l 5 cylinder auto started idling lumpy and then stalled after 20 mins of driving. Managed to limp it to a car park and had the codes read. The only code was crank shaft sensor. I've since changed the sensor for a brand new one.... On turn over via ignition the car wants to fire but its struggling. Anybody had any experience with the same symptoms? Anywhere else i need to start looking?
Funds are tight and i really don't want to scrap it as this is the only problem I've had with it. I've had it plugged in and no codes showing.

Checked all spark plugs and they're fine and giving a spark. All sensors seem to be plugged in ( I haven't removed any )

Is there anybody close to Market Bosworth in Leicestershire that has a Volvo computer that would be willing to help a fellow Volvo fan out? I'm thinking some live data might help?

Thanks in advance

There's some chance that the new CPS isn't working right, particularly if it's an off-brand part. I'd suspect that more if the "new symptoms" are different / worse than they were before the swap. Otherwise, read the codes again, and do try to find someone with a bidirectional scanner to see if you can determine what's NOT happening.
