01 V70 T5 sticky brakes?
I'm the proud new owner of a 2001 T5. Super clean, only 90k miles, all service done. So far, I'm thrilled.
The only question I've had is about starting from a complete stop - it feels like the brakes are holding tight for an extra .5 of a second. If it's a rolling stop (even barely moving) there is no problem to go from the brake pedal to the gas pedal. From a complete stop, however, if I go right to the gas it feels like a slight jerky motion. If I wait an extra half second before accelerating, there is no problem at all. Any ideas? I should mention that it's an auto transmission.
Secondary question - this is the first car I've owned in a while that doesn't come with a bank note or factory warranty. I'm inclined to turn a wrench myself but don't have a very extensive tool set. Is there anything in particular I should purchase to work on my V70? I'm hoping to do some basics like oil changes and brake pads, but I'm also willing to tackle some of the less intense intermediate repairs when they come up.
Thanks!
