I have had the problem of the ignition cylinder locking up every once in a while which would come and go over the years but is now getting worse. When you insert the key sometimes you cannot turned the key at all. I tried lubricating the cylinder numerous times with different types of products but they don't seem to help. I think I have to bite the bullet and change the cylinder. What is the scenario if I want to do it myself? Can i buy a cylinder with keys from one of the online parts supply? Does the car need to be programmed for the new keys? If so, I would assume it won't start until reprogrammed?
