Default 1998 V70 just died in my neighbor's driveway... stumbled to a stop

First time poster. 98 V70 stuttered and died as I pulled up to my house today. I turn the key and get lots of trying but no starting except for an occasional 10 seconds of rough running. Seems like its out of gas. I've read the posts regarding the relay and pump replacements. I will try the relay as soon as I can get one. My question is - I have no manual... where the heck do I access the tank to locate the in tank pump?

Thanks for your help.

UPDATE

After getting the car to reluctantly start I got it in my driveway and shut it off but the cooling fan stayed on. I went and got a code reader and see "Engine coolant temperature circuit low input" being displayed now. I became suspect as a result of the fan and the fact that after sitting for an hour and firing it up, the car still showed the temp as dead center on the gauge.

So... new question - now what? Don't have a manual, work mostly on older cars and motorcycles. A few pointers to get me in the right direction would be great.

Thanks,

I'll just keep replying to myself as I learn more...

Seems a solid guess that the ECT sensor is dirty or shot. Assuming that its the sensor on the thermostat housing (2 wires) it looks pretty mucked up from the outside and could be ancient. Looks like a pretty tight fit for a wrench to get in there but I think that's the road I'm headed down unless someone advises otherwise.

Thanks

It is usually easier to get to the sensor after removing the upper thermostat housing. I would also replace the thermostat while you are in there. You might get in there and see the thermostat broke already. Make sure you have a good Torxes bit so the screws don't strip out. If one does Please don't try tapping it with a hammer. The thermostat housings are known to break at the head. The entire housing is aluminum and pretty brittle.
