Default Repair diagrams/help

Hello, I assume you're in the UK-home of Haynes. You can buy their manual. A used one might be available from an online book seller which organizes inventories from all over. There must be something similar where you live. Try to get a VADIS disc somewhere. They can't be beat. You can do searches on these boards before you start on a specific job. While that's not the most freewheeling way to work, you're likely to get your info most of the time. Regarding your popping upon rev down. I always thought that was caused by excess fuel burning as the exhaust valve opens. It stops when the metering functions of the fuel delivery system get back to normal. Rev the engine: vacuum drops, fuel enrichens and spark advances. Close the throttle quickly: spark advance returns to idle setting and the rich mixture needs time to clear out of the engine. How long things take to normalize (spark advance, signal to the injectors etc.) in "lesser computerized" engines, quality of fuel, weather conditions and engine condition all cotribute to the condition. Sometimes getting an answer on this board takes longer than 1 hour and 2 minutes. Kira
