Since acquiring the vehicle, the shift **** gate does not illuminate the varying engagements for the transmission (P, R, N, D, 4, 3, L) as you can imagine, this can be quite annoying at night. I have purchased a new bulb and holder from the dealer however am unaware of how to gain access to the bulb itself inside the panel. Any guidance? Thank you in advance!

 

You need to remove the center console. Under the arm rest lid in the bottom is a cover remove it.
Then remove the 2 8mm screw. The with the lid open and the e-brake handle up some slide the e-brake boot and plastic towards the drivers seat. Then unplug the 2 white plugs and lift the console out.
Lift the back up first the slide back to remove. Then you will be able to see the bulb.
