Default 2000 Volvo V 70 XC

Please forgive my lack of extensive knowledge and insight with vehicles.. but I am looking for some advice.

Recently, the car I purchased less than a month ago began leaking coolant. The leak was coming from the front right lower area in near the radiator under the hood. I'm not sure exactly where it was coming out of. I made the fatal decision to drive to a mechanic yesterday. Even though I stopped to put coolant in twice, the car leaked all of the coolant overheating badly enough to blow the head gasket.

Aside from the serious coolant leak and the newly blown head gasket, the car has been misfiring along with a hard start.

I am willing to do the research and invest the time to replace the head gasket/head and fix the coolant issue. The question is - is it worth it? The motor currently has 214,000 miles. And the misfire/hard start problem source is yet to be determined.

Any advice or help is much appreciated.

Thank you

Probably not worth it.

Misfire? coolant in the combustion chamber?
