2001 V70 T5 Front End Popping???
When I apply the breaks at slow speed (forward or reverse) I sometimes get a popping noise that appeart to be coming from both front wheels. Does anyone know what may be causing this, my first guess is CV joints???? Vehicle has 100k on it and to my knowlege these have not been change, however the turn stops have.
Thanks in advance,
Sean

Possibly, but the symptom of CV joints on their way to the junkyard usually manifests itself by clicking in tight turns.
Another guess, and its a guess, is that somehow your brake calipers have become loosened. They shouldn't move when you grab them and try to move them in various directions (up, down, in, out). Or they aren't gripping to hard and you're hearing some slippage between the pads and rotors. Or something in the front struts is binding and releasing when the car actually stops and regains an even keel.
With a hoist, this shouldn't be hard to diagnose.
As I am told, Volvos also eat bushings. But I'll leave that to the more knowledgeable among us.
