2001 V70 T5 Geartronic
Recently, and especially when the car is hot, the gear changes are abrupt. Also, sometimes in the middle of traffic it goes from 2nd to 1st and then back to 2nd. Finally, when going from 1st to reverse i feel a "knock" in the transmission.
Any ideas on this?
Manu thanks.

Kira has give excellent advice, and there is little more I can add, yes please do check the mounts, they can have an effect from what I have read, but I have no experience. Mobile 3309 or Toyota type IV are the cheapest and easiest to find that are the correct fluid. Fill and drain, or use the return hose method (instructions are here). DO NOT HAVE IT FLUSHED BY A "PRO", big problems then await you! Only fill via the dipstick hole. DO NOT REMOVE THE BIG NUT ON TOP THAT LOOKS LIKE A FILL HOLE!

Thank you
Guys,
Thanks for your help.
Last year it did have an oil change at a Volvo dealer.
Anyway, i sold my car because an opportunity arouse to buy a 2005 Jaguar XJR with 45000 miles.
The guy that bought the Volvo told me that he usually does all the maintenance by himself and that he's not worried with this..."behavior" of the transmission.
Again, many thanks for your help.
