2004 V70 deceleration issue
Hi, I'm new here and have just bought my first Volvo. Been wanting a Volvo wagon for years. Mine is a 2004 v70 2.5t auto. She's near mint and rides amazing, however there is one issue that has me worried about the transmission, when I'm driving and let off the gas, I hear a sort of clicking sound and the car slows itself down faster than it should, almost like and engine brake in a truck. I'm a truck driver so it definitely sounds and feels similar. It won't do it all the time and if i tap the fuel once it does it, it'll stop and slows normally, applying brakes makes no difference. My concern is that it may be a torque converter issue. Anyone else had this problem, or have any insights? Thanks.
The vehicle has a program to cut off fuel during deceleration when it senses a high vacuum for a certain amount of time. The idea being that there's no need to feed fuel if you are coasting a while.
I've not experienced what you are saying, but see if there are any codes. If not, then one would assume that it is fine.
I'm more concerned about the clicking sound.
