Looking to purchase a 2004 v70 w/ 118k KMs. In good condition except when taking off, the first gear is skipped. If you put your foot down hard when you have taken off it will drop down to first momentarily. The transmission is very smooth otherwise.


Any thoughts on what the issue might be? Stay clear of this one?

P2 Chasis (s60, s80, v70). Especially the 01 and 02 are plagued with Transmission problems. If you have any kind of slip or skip driving a car I would avoid completely. It is usually easier to buy a new engine and have it installed than have the transmission rebuilt, buy a new one, or take a gamble on a salvage one.
