Does anyone know how to remove the radio from an '04 V70 wagon? I got quoted $100 to change it at the volvo place and I cannot imagine it is that hard..

It is kind of a pain because the climate module has to come out as well.
Remove the pen holder part under the climate module. There is 2 screws holding the climate module remove them and pull the bottom some. Then the top slides out. It is alot harder than it sounds. Then there is 2 screws holding the radio in.
Are you installing an aftermarket one?
If so then the Dealer needs to do a download to the car.

 

I need to do the same thing. Is there anything special that I need to do to prevent getting a code when complete? The last guy that tried to work on myradio set the airbag code. I had to make a trip to the dealer to have the code removed.
