2008 V70 (new shape) D5 Fuel Consumption
I bought the D5 185bhp V70 (new shape) earlier this year on the promise that it would achieve significantly improved fuel economy over my previous v70 petrol turbo with similar performance.
On average, however, I am only achieving 33mpg whilst I used to acheive 32 mpg with my petrol. The car has been back to the dealer on 4 occassions and save for a temp sensor they have found nothing wrong (apparantly hooked up to Volvo in Sweeden). Car has done 22k miles now for run in fully. Volvo have washed there hands but before I really start to make complaints I wondered if anyone else was experiencing similar fuel consumption issues?
Coincidently I had a old shape V70 D5 which I acheived 42mpg so it isn't my right foot!!
