'97 V70 TDI steering problem!
I've had my V70 for 3 years now and am very happy with it. However!!, I've just had to put the third set of front tyres on due to tracking issues!
The tracking was first laser checked and adjusted about a year ago after the outside edge of both tyres got scrubbed out! - this was due to excessive toe-in.
Last november the car failed it's mot on front suspension arm wear, the front end was sorted and tracking checked and adjusted again (so i am told) The front tyres were replaced because of the wear caused by the play.
Yesterday i found that this set of tyres were worn excessively on the inside. When checked the front wheels were found to have 14 degrees of toe out!!
I'm just about at my wits end with what is otherwise a great car (My 4th Volvo)
Can anyone shed any light on the problem for me?
Cheers, Pete
