Default 98 V70 T5 removed driveshaft = terrible fuel economy?

Hey all,

I have been getting terrible fuel economy since I removed the drive shaft that was causing some serious vibrations and thumping.

The gauge is kinda iffy as it sits higher at a stand still than when I am moving.

It was on the 6, and is now nearing the 2 and I have gone 20 miles. What gives?!

There isn't a leak that I can see or smell, and I have been using 89 octane with ethanol in it.......

Anyone have any input?

Thanks!!

I don't think the removing the axle has anything to do with your mpgs

I will check the harness out. That is an interesting idea for sure!

Also, my ABS and TRACS lights have been on. I tried the spacer mod, but alas the lights are back after a few months of no lights.........
