Default '99, 2.4ltr, 170bhp, 60k miles, power issues

Problem: misfire when heavy on the throttle, 1.5k to 2.5k rpm.
Story so far: new plugs, air filter, fuel filter.
Car will accelerate smoothly if the throttle is pressed progressively, but if pressed quickly misfires badly, most noticable when on a slight incline.

Now this may not be a problem with the car but with my driving technique, I have heard that the car has a narrow power band! Advice please!

One or more of the coils are bad. Do you get any missfire codes?

Having now played with the reader softwear properly, The codes are p0300 multiple misfire, p0301 cyl 1 misfire, and p1670 is no electrical feedback (?)
I have ordered a couple of coils, thanks Tech.

Hello Tech,
Received and fitted replacement coil. Problem solved, nice wide power band and smoother running, heavy footed pedal operation does not lead to stuttering (except at the fuel station!).
Thanks for your time and advice Tech.
Best regards
Dan
