Default Volvo ETM failures on TV

I have been researching this problem since January when a post said, "Someone ought to do someething about this." I said I would be "Someone". I asked my congresswoman to ask NHTSA to look into this, and they are well into an investigation. I also turned the TV investigative reporter on to the story.

On September 14, 17-time Emmy Award winner Tony Kovaleski of TheDenverChannel, ABC in Denver, Colorado, USA, aired an investigative report on the Volvo ETM failures. He gave a sobering explanation of the consequences of a failure of the electronic throttle modules made by Magneti Marelli for Volvo. But, primarily he exposed the cover-up by Volvo of the real cause of the failure. Verified Volvo internal documents say that 94% will fail within the first 100,000 miles, and this is on a part that should last the life of the car. The text and video of the report can be found at

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/4974281/detail.html

Tony says that the investigation is continuing, as more details are uncovered.

Also check out http://vexedvolvo.org where you will find more than you probably want to know about the problem.
