we just bought a 2005 V70R, the fan stays on and would not shut off. The other night it stayed on till the battery ran down. any suggestions

Since these posts from early May 2010 we've had hot weather where I live and I still can't make sense of it. All I can suggest is try turning the A/C off and run the fan on high (to dry off the evaperator) before you arrive somewhere AND turn the fan speed control to off before you turn the engine off. It's not scientific. I'm still feeling it out. My A/C is manual. Is your A/C manually controlled or do Rs have ACC? Kira

 

It is either the CCM or more than likely the blower module on the fan itself.
