Default air bubbles in radiator reservoir/2000 V70

Newbe here;
I bought this 00 V70 @ a pig in the poke sale, no coolant in tank,dead battery ect, Got vehicle to start, hard to keep running untill warms up, after warm up car drives/ac cold/seems ok till 10-15 min and starts to
overheat, seems like airbubbles in reserve tank, and other leaks, blue&black smoke emits off and on, Headgasket??? how hard is it to do myself.????

Over heating is never good. Where is the smoke coming from? If you have to pull the head to repair a head gasket, it's not to hard from what I've read but that depends on your skill level. what motor does the car have? You will also need to find the source/cause of overheating.
