back for more brake advice
So, I think I have finally figured out the source of my braking problems. I am having a problem with the driverside brake caliper. Next comes replacing it or rebuilding it.
The caliper is seizing up under heavy braking or when it is wet (I think it is a combination of the two but the later is more relevant). With this symptom, is it worth trying to replace the seals with a rebuild seal kit?
Next question is if I can't fix it, should I purchase a vovlo certified caliper for $120 or a rebuilt one for $60? I need help on this one also in trying to determine if I have 11" or 12" rotors on the car. Most sites ask this but when I spoke to my volvo retailer, they didn't have a clue about what I was talking about. They claim there is only 1 size which makes sense you would think. What's the skinny?
Thanks for the info!

RE: back for more brake advice
Tech, the standard 70series with 16 inch wheels came with 280 mm discs. If you opted for the FACTORY 17 inch rims, you got 302 mm discs. If you measure from the top of the hub on the disc to the top of the disc, and it measures 2 3/4 inches, then one has the 302 mm discs. This was a popular option on the C-70 but it was also available on the sedan.
