Default Battery drains in about a week

If I don't use my V70 2.4 S over about a week the battery completely drains.

The real pain is that I can only open the drivers door with the key so in order to charge the battery I need to clamber over the seats to get to the battery in the boot to charge it.

At the risk of appearing dim - is there any way of opening the tailgate/doors when the battery is so flat that the remote won't work. I'm 6 ft 4 and 16 stone - if I get wedged in between the seats I might never get back out!

Any suggestions (short of a diet or yoga classes greatly appreciated!)

Default I'll check tomorrow

Hello, I swear I'm pretty sure there's a rubber plug on the "soffit" above the license plate. You remove the soft rubber plug and you can use your key. I'll check tomorrow. Also, if your car is parked on quiet land, you can run a trickle charger and prevent it from dying cyclically-which is not good for a battery. Kira

Default

Would also suggest you have an excess pwr drain on the battery. Under normal conditions your battery should stay charged for a few weeks or more when not driven.
