Default Keeps losing coolant, can't see a leak ??

Yesterday my coolant light came on and I noticed when I parked the car the coolant container on the car was empty. I put about 2 and a half bottles of coolant in the car as the container would not stay to the fill level and this morning the container was empty again. Also my car is not leaking coolant. What could be the problem? Thanks

Dear rickheel. Now you have your own thread. Please don't tack you problems onto someone else's thread, it's called hijacking. Did you read the other thread to see what solutions you might find ??

If you needed to add two bottles stop driving the vehicle immediately before you lose the engine.

If you added two bottles and can't see it running out someplace you have to have a leak to the inside of the engine. It would need to be a bad head gasket (very likely) or possibly a cracked head or cracked block (not likely).

Once you fill it up with coolant and let it idle do you see white smoke coming out the exhaust, an abnormal amount of it ??

Is there and sign of coolant in the oil ?? Does it look like milk chocolate ??

There's also a possibility his heater core could be leaking quite badly. Do you smell coolant inside the car? Check under your driver's side carpet to see if it's wet.

Good catch, hadn't thought of that but if his "two containers added" were gallons the drivers foot well would be flooded or it should be pouring out the heater case onto the ground.

Still, worth checking.
