I mounted mine in the vent above the headlight switch. I don't recommend that location. At night, all I see in the side mirror is the reflection of my gauge. I pulled the illumination wire for it for now. If you don't need it lighted at night, it's a great place to have it. IPD is overpriced for gauge pods. LOTEK (Gaugepods.com) they sell a single just like IPD's. For the A-pillar that is.
Try $15 for a single pod for the A-pillar and IPD wants $38 for theirs. RIP OFF.
