Default Brakes on '98 v70

I have 2 '98 v70's and want to do the brakes and rotors on both myself. The thing is I have never done a brake job in my life. I am mostly motivated by money but seriously want to know how to do it. Is this too much for a rookie or should I dive in? Anyone know of a good on-line resource for instructions or should I get a service manual?

Thanks!

hi,we have a 99V70 in the family and i have serviceditsbrakes several times. its a relatively simple task but as itwill be your first attempt i suggest yo buy a manualsuch as haynes and follow there detailed instructions [includes pics ] take your time and you should be ok. ps, use original pads to avoid squealing.

Here try these directions. The brakes are pretty easy to work on. I even taught my daughter how to do them. She said she could, but didn't like getting that dirty. So she married a mechanic.
