Default Changing Oil in 2008 V70 3.2L

Is there a description of how to change the oil in 2008 V70 3.2L....I have the filter wrench for a 2000 S70 2.5L but I suspect looking at the replacement filter some sizes are different now....any advice out there before I get started and find out that I don't have the proper tools....Thanks

This is related as from our 09 S 80 3.2. Youll need a large socket for the filter housing (IIRC 36mm). remove drain plug, leave plug out and loosen filter, wait a few seconds and the oil in the filter housing will drain, remove filter install new and then replace plug. You will have to pull the PS resevoir up and out of the way. By leaving plug out and allowing gravity to do it's thing, you wont spill a drop, even with the inverted filter

what volvo rocks is one way to do it. another way is go ahead and loosen the oil filter but leave it to drain in the oil pan, and while your removing the splash guard it will drain for you and remove the oil drain plug like normal.

it the same thing just a different order.
