I have a 2003 V-70 non turbo that is showing a P0106 code, MAS sensor/BAR sensor. I have blown the MAP sensor out with compressed air. Checked the two vacume lines on the air box. The air cleaner is new a few months ago. The car runs and drives great. I have tracked every tank of gas since new and the fuel milage has not changed.
1) Should I keep driving it or replace the MAP sensor?
2) How do I reset the code? Advance auto read the code for me. However, I do not think they can reset it.
Thanks Don

I believe there is a recall for this (R 181) and there is the possibility you could have the MAP sensor replaced for free. You can call Volvo customer service at 1-800-458-1552. This was an issue in my 2003 S60, although Volvo tells me that the part is correct. They still instructed me to take it to my dealer to see if they will still replace it for free (although I doubt it).
If you call them and give them your VIN number, they'll tell you if you can take it in. It's a least worth a shot.
