Well, I'm not TECH,JimKW,reg...but seeing white smoke coming from the vents can't be good I imagine. I'd think a component isn't doing it's job properly before it gets to the vents. That's my guess. While it's been a week and 5 days since I've recharged, my a/c is still blowing cold to my surprise. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

 

I would say evap.
White steam will come out when the A/C gets really cold like when it is about to freeze up.
Espically if you open a window a little.

 

Ok, here's an update. The a/c is still blowing nice and cold up to this date which is about a month now. I've been using it at least once a day for up to 15mins, which is really irrelevant to the leak as Tech mentioned. But today the compressor began clicking again. Maybe once every 10-15 seconds. How long will this clicking last before it really runs out? I need my a/c this weekend!

 

You never know. It migth last till the end of the weekend it might last till tomorrow.

 

Another update...not only did it last throught that weekend in August..it's now Sept 25th and it's still blowing cold. The compressor is still clicking like before. I already have 2 cans ready if need be.
