Default Drove V70 through water

I got caught in a rainstorm late tonight and ended up driving my 2001 V70 through some unexpectedly high water. The car stalled out, but started up again after a moment. I was able to drive it home -- thankfully I was close. The only thing I noticed different is that the engine seems to stutter and lag when I'm going up an incline. I haven't driven it again and an trying to figure out how much, how serious, and what kind of damage I may have done, as well as whether there is anything a layman can do about it before I can get it to a shop on Monday. Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Sounds like something got wet. Is the CEL on? If so, have the codes read and go from there.

I would drive it in an attempt to dry it out. It may clear up on it's own. You can pull the plugs and see if any water got in the cylinders. Pull the plugs, crank the motor with the plugs out to see if any water comes out. Then re-install the plugs and go from there.

Default Got caught in High water too.

V70 2004. Wife had same problem. Now car will shutter from time to time and a warning message like rear Door open will appear when its not. Turn vehicle off and on then no issue for a week or so.

Any thoughts?
