Default ECC - Broken temperature sensor

When I was cleaning the interior of my V70 (2003) I used a toothpick to remove the dust from the little holes just above the passenger temperature control (the three horizontal holes). When I was doing this I noticed a little piece of wood at the inside (… I thought it was a little piece of wood) and tried to remove that with the toothpick. With some force I succeeded in removing the “dirt” but as soon as the item was pulled to the outside I noticed that the piece of wood was a wire. Further investigation revealed it was a temperature sensor (PTC type). Under the assumption that the temperature control was a little replaceable module I used the instructions from this site to remove the ECC panel to capture the part number of the broken module. After removing the panel I noticed that the sensor is not part of a separate module but is a part of the general print board which forms the ECC module. Replacing this module will be very expensive so I’m wondering is somebody has the specifications of the sensor itself (my personal impression is that it is a small PTC).
