Long story short.... this is my father's car which I am now driving because my parents moved back to Europe. He did mention to me that the check engine light was on.

Today I plug it in and I got 2 codes:

P-0128 - Unconfirmed (awesome!)

P-4022 - Main Cat efficiency Lowe bank # 1

Now from what I have searched my way around to there are 4 variables here: Plugs, Coils, Injectors and the cat... most of the problems I read about were on diff. cars but I am not sure if these are common to the V70 also.

Any input on this?

 

Check your exhaust manifold gaskets. Most of the time thats what can cause. After time they fall apart causing an exhaust leak.
