Default extended warranty on 2005 new V70

I just got a new 2005 2.4 V70 last weekend. I bought the extended 2 year warranty on top of the standard 4 year for $1500. Is it a good idea to keep it? I have about a month to cancel it. From reading all the little problems with the older V70's it would be a good idea to keep it, wouldn't it? Please advise. Thanks!

That's a judgment call that you have to make. I personally never buy extended warranties mainly because my Dad was a salesman and he said that is where he made quite a bit of his money. Selling these warranties has to be profitable for the company or they would not sell them. Then again if you have trouble with the car, it's sure nice to have the work done under warranty. The 4 year warranty is pretty good to start with, and, to me, $1500 is a lot of money.

By the way of the new Volvo's I think the V70 is my favorite. What model and color did you get?

I would say to keep the extra 2 years to be safe.
God forbid the trans goes or the rear main seal goes. Then if you don't have the warrananty it will cost more than the warranty to repair the problem.
