Unhappy Stalling issues with my 1998 v70

HI Everyone,
I am new to the forum and new to owning a v70.
Little background on the car.
Has 240,000 miles.
purchased about a month ago and here is what has been done so far.
Changed plugs, Oil change, air filter (very dirty), Fuel filter, fuel pump relay and rack & pinion.
Car started to shut down about 2 weeks ago. First time was when i was parked and all of a sudden it shut down. the car shuts down randomly usually when coming to a stop or when im at a stop. Each time the wagon stalls its hard to start back up again but it does start. i have to pump that pedal to get it to start.. It acts like its not getting gas (Its similar in action to a regular carburated car that you have to pump the pedal for it to start). In the morning when i start the car there is never a problem. When the car has stalled and i then park, i have tried to start the car again and is still hard to start with the same pumping of the gas to get it started but doesnt happen in the evening when im starting the car to leave home. I have changed the FUEL PUMP RELAY because i was reading that may be the problem but after 3 days its back to stalling again. Today i got a few quick ARROW light come on when the car wanted to stall, but have not seen it since.
Any insight and help would be appreciative. Also the check engine light is on and the service light only comes on for about a minute after starting the car.
Robert

Have you checked the rotor and distributor? I had similar issues with my V70 when the rotor was worn all the way down to just a nub.

After that I would look at the MAF sensor. You can try cleaning it, but I have had to replace mine a couple times.

The first thing you need to do is read the codes. Most parts places will do it for free.

I havent had the wagon taken to a shop or have access to a code reader. Ive done all the work so far aside from the rack and pinion. Ill inquire if a local autzone or pepboys could scan the car for codes.

Default code verification.

Hi so took the car to a mechanic and he scanned the car and said the codes are for P0455 evap, P0410 air injection system and P0103 airflow meter. Im thinking the first thing to is tochange out the airflow meter the mechanic said to only replace the MAF sensor with genuine Volvo part which money aside I would prefer to do on all parts but is there an aftermarket that is ok or should I only stick to Volvo which I believe is made by bosch or do I have to to the dealer for the part?
