Default front control arm bushing replacement

My 2001 V70 T5 with 100K miles has worn front control arm bushings on both sides. My local car repair guy says Volvo wants approx $225 for new control arms per side. I have seen the bushings themselves listed for $30 per side. Has anybody done the bushing replacement with good experiences?
I plan on doing the job myself and then getting the alignment done.

Default RE: front control arm bushing replacement

Pretty straight forward to remove the arms, but you will need a press to press the old bushings out. I did mine, a local grarage pressed the bushings out and in for $20.00. Took him 5 minutes with the press. No need for an alignment in my opinion if the tires were wearing evenly before the bushing replacement.
