Default Front End Shake/Shutter 10998 V70XC

Hello

It's been a while since nothing major has been happening with my Volvo, but now there's an issue I cannot seem to resolve. I have a shake/shutter from the front end, noticeable through the steering wheel at speeds above 65mph...sometimes below 30mph - but pretty smooth in-between. Sometimes it smooths out, somewhat, when I'm on the throttle - sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it shakes/shutters when I'm off the throttle going down a decline..

I've done the following:
*Wheels Balanced several times, nothing found?
*Front End Alignment, several times, nothing found?
*Replaced: Wheel Brgs, Tie Rods, Lower Control Arms, Stabilizer Links, SubFrame Bushings...(Most needed Changing anyways)
*Replaced Front Drive Axles, both sides, with Volvo and non-Volvo brands
*Removed the Drive Shaft from the Angle Gear to the Rear Differential

Don't know where to go from here? Could it be a bearing in the automatic transmission? (Tranny shifts excellent - last oil change it looked good and no metal filings..etc...)

Help if you can?

Thanks
DAK

It sounds like a tire that is not round or has a bad belt.

easy way to rule out tires is to do a front to rear rotation. also how new are your struts? any sign of leakage? A worn strut will amplify any rotational balance problem (ie tire, axle etc).

Hello.....Well - it's still there. 4 new tires (2 were cupped pretty bad), and I still have a steering wheel shake and shutter that can be felt - apparently from the front end. The struts are fairly new Touring Brand from FCP or IPD - and they were replaced along with the Strut Brgs, all hardware, etc... I see no leaks of the front struts, and I am replacing one of the rear Nivomats that are leaking.

So...I am at a loss on this? I don't know if I need to replace the front struts, or WHATEVER! Is there a definite way to see if one of the struts did go bad? (Getting frustrated at this point and don't want to ruin another set of tires...)
