Default Fuel Gage And Rear Door Locks Faulty

I have a 2002 V70 2.4 (not turbo). The Rear Door Locksand Fuel gage seem to go off line intermittently. Locks will not respond to the key fob and when running the car fuel gage reads empty and fuel light is on. Also noticed that the wiper in the rear was also not working. Have searched the forum and noticed that this has happened to a few people in the past. Problem started when the weather got warmer but seems to be happening all the time. Did locate the control module behind a panel in the cargo area and checked all fuses and removed and replaced all relays. Just found out today that when I pull the 15 amp fuse supporting the module itself and replace than everything starts working for a few a little while (hour maybe) then goes off again. Has anyone diagnosed this and is there a know fix?? Needhelp cant lock the truck. Thanks

Take it to someone that can read the codes from it.
That usually means the module is bad.

ALSO be VERY CAREFUL because usually when most of the stuff goes offline the brake lights might go as well.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have thought that it might be the trunk module [:@]. Also thanks on the heads up on the brake lights. I have checked them and they seem to still be working. I can also here the relays click when stepping on the brake even when the rest is out but advise taken and I will keep checking. Any idea how bad this is going to get if I need to replace the module? Is it something that I might be able to do your is the purely something for the dealer?

Thanks Again

Dealer only because they need to download software to make it work.

Problems continue with REM (Rear Electronics Module). Can anyone give me a quick estimate on how much that will cost from a US dealer so I can tell how much of a loan I am going to need. [sm=smiley11.gif]

Thanks

Well an update to my long standing battle with problem. Did a lot on internet searching and found that there might be a tech note out on this problem but like everything you can not get any information without paying for it. Does anyone have access to tech notes. The number is 37-08 and deals with the REM not waking up. I just like to know what I am getting into before I go to a dealer

Thanks
