Red face Fuel pump relay switch

Hi all. Had my '99 V70 (third Volvo Estate) for seven years largely trouble free. Annual full service etc. Recently starts then stalls and will not start 'catch' for several minutes, although turns over. Turns out it was the fuel pump relay switch - the pink one under the back left fuse box under the bonnet. A very, very nice RAC man gave the car a thorough check and identified problem - much cheaper than replacement fuel pump! He charged the battery (dead by then) and started tapping the pink switch box with a screwdriver head and abracadabra! Trouble, is, it might not catch again or it might every time so got a new one.
Unfortunately, injured arm means I have not driven it for days, and now the battery's dead!

In an emergency, you can use a paper clip to bypass terminals 15 + 87 to drive the car.
Just remove the paper clip when home.
