Our local paper, The Detroit News, ran an article in its weekly Autos section about wagons generally. It mentioned, in passing, that Volvo was planning to withdraw the V70 from the U.S.

Has anybody heard anything about this? I'm not crediting some writer who only writes what he's told by car makers, and I'm not crediting car makers with any particular affinity to truth.

I've seen or heard nothing about this anywhere else.

Anybody out there know anything? The other wagons are too small, the CUV/SUV models are too expensive and too thirsty. The V70 always seemed "just right" to quote Goldilocks.

Hello, A dealership "newsletter" mentioned it. "your last chance to own a legend", provided the drama to the piece. I expect a replacement because the V70/XC70 was a bestseller for Volvo. Bring on the truley new cars. Kira
