I recently replaced the throttle body on my 2004 v70r now there is a strong gas smell when the engine is turned off. It lingers, never really goes away.

I have just purchased the car used and since there are no qualified Volvo mechanics where i live I am attempting to troubleshoot this on my own any suggestions from experience would be greatly appreciated
