Help! Yesterday I replaced my fuel filter because I thought if was clogged. After doing so, the car ran fine all day. This morning, I went out and started the car, but when I pressed the gas, no RPM's above the 1 on the gague. Car didn't stall, engine continued to run, however the rpm needel fluctuated a bit but wouldn't catch. No acceleration what so ever. Any ideas?

 

Check your fuses and see if the "throttle" fuse is blown. If so, change it. If not, see what codes are set. Is your car a 99-01 model? If so, you may be looking at a new ETM, which is pretty expensive. I recommend xeMODex's rebuilt ETMs- they permanently fix the problem and are a lot cheaper than going through Volvo. Don't go changing the ETM without getting some sort of confirmation that that's what it is... but that's what it sounds like to me, if that fuse isn't blown.
