Hesitant Accelerator

Hesitant Accelerator
We purchased aV70 T5 (72,000 miles) about three weeks ago. The accelerator pedal is just a little bit harder to push down when starting off from a dead stop than I would have expected. Once you have started pushing the accelerator there is also a little hesitation before the engine picks up. After that there are no noticble hesitations, etc. The car is in excellent shape with what seems to be no mechaincal problems (baring this one if it is a problem). Once moving the pedal and engine don't seem to have the hesitation. Also if you accelerate quickly from a stop there is no hesitation or hard pedal.
The 94 850 we traded in had a very sticky accelerator pedal which we just lived with. It stuck every time you pushed it whether at a dead stop or on the highway.
Side note: The brakes are a little on the touch side as well, can be hard to feather them close to a dead stop. This is probably due to the higher performance of the brakes compared to the old 850 brakes.
Some of what I a experiencing is probably just getting used to a new car but I wanted to get other peoples opinions.
Thanks

RE: Hesitant Accelerator
Driving it further I actually think that my foot might be resting too low on the pedal thus making it feel stiffer than it actually is.
As far as the software goes I am not sure. I would assume I would just have to take it to a dealer/service provider and get everything loaded up.
On the brakes, what is a good brand of pad to use (with as little dust as possible)?

Only the dealer can up-date the soft ware. The latest re-call is a freebie. The factory brakes are very 'dusty' but there are those who swear by them. NAPA sells a ceramic pad that does not dust up. Repco makes a terriffic pad that will wear your rotors. Check out the pads that the Tire Rack sells.....it is a good source. Once you get your c70 up to snuff you will find that it is an excellent auto albeit there are some ****ling issues that can drive you nuts............such as a noisy sun roof!
